forgot to give you credit...

but then again - i suppose if we combine the places we've been/lived - technically, that could be seen as the beginnings of taking over the world...

we're off to a good start...

can i bring my kitties and my dog?
i'll leave the kids at home...

I've been in DC for the last year. Up until then, we were back home in Houston. I don't advise trying to drive in DC though, it's insane. I don't know what idiot decided that a pentagram shaped street grid was a good idea. Oh and there are 4 different addresses for every street and number, so for instance there are 4 different 1707 L st.'s. One in each quadrant, NW, SW, SE, NE. I say we threaten a cabbie till we're out of city limits then steal the first car with a big gas tank we see.

The baby's only 3 months, but the hubby's 32, so it's not like he can't watch him while we're plotting world domination.

and this is JOEY (furry one) and BOO (short haired black one)

haha!!
ahhh - but do you have the talented and charming drivers who, when it rains or the streets are even the hintest of wet, think it's ok to drive fast on the freeways, and do curves at dangerous speed?
hah!!
no?
i daresay to bet that only WE have those...
just the thought of precipitation makes them go into over drive, venture on the freeways/highways w/the thought:
"it's raining - i should drive fast"

and you know, if the hubby should need a break or 3 -the kids are more than able and old enough to watch baby...

Aw, I need to take some good pics of my animals. I've got 2 parakeets named Dharma and Houdini [Dharma's mate was Dahli, but she's been gone a year now :( ], then there's PePe, my 3 legged half chihuahua/half jack russel. He's the sweetest thing.

As far as the drivers here, they are nuts. When it snows they think they have to go 5 on the interstate. OK, I can understand slowing down for safety, but when you're not even breaking into 2 digits, that's just beyond me. Now Texas, my god we've got some reeeeal geniuses there. ::rolls eyes:: They got 50 on the streets, 45 on the freeway, and when it rains it's like they're trying to see who can hydroplane the longest.

no, no...
you see - we have bridges out here in the san francisco east bay (and i'm not EVEN talking about the golden gate bridge)...
we have these certifiable loons who, in some desperate attempt to solidified their insanity, feel the need to speed getting ONTO the bridge, and thusly - when crashing over the side -
wonder why their kid died in the carseat and they swam out?
yeah...
oh, but forgive me...
we also have hydroplaners sans the snow...

ahhh - but you certainly have a special breed in texas...
i'm from san antonio...
but have been transplanted to calif. over 35 yrs. now...

You should try driving in Philly. The freeway on-ramps are extremely short, and no one knows how to merge. They fly onto the on-ramp, slam on the breaks coming to a complete stop right before the actual freeway lanes, then when there's a 3 foot opening, slam on the gas, peel tires, and shove their way in. My god, no wonder they have so many road rage incidents.

hmmm...
rush hour traffic on 880 going either way is enough to make the most sanest person drive thru the side streets, get on the other freeway, and exit at the local psychiatric pavillion...
i kid you not, my fine feathered friend...
it is an ugliness worthy of satan's glee...
like your philly - no one knows how to merge...they speed up, or tail gate, or - better still - MOVE into the lane you want...

lately we've had a rash of high-speed chases ending in crashes upon which the vehicle all but desenigrates -
and the passengers?
in the past 5 accidents - most have either walked away or in the hospital less than critical injuries...

mommy -
can i crash my car into a pole and walk/run away when the police get there?
